From our families to yours!

Eagles Landing Winery was started by Roger & Connie Halvorson in 2000 as a retirement hobby.   Their son, Jay, left his Dallas computer programming job in 2003 to join his parents at the growing business. He became the official Master Winemaker in 2003.

By 2007, Eagles Landing Winery was entering - and winning! - wine competitions. Cindy Halverson joined the family business in 2009. Five years later, Jay and Cindy officially took over Eagles Landing Winery when Jay's parents retired. Since then, Eagles Landing Winery has received over 400 medals and awards - including the coveted Governor's Cup & Best of Show at the 2022 Iowa State Fair for the wine, Constance.  

In 2022, it became Jay and Cindy's turn to retire, and they sold Eagles Landing Winery to Scott and Sharon Patten, a couple from Cedar Rapids. Scott and Sharon are excited to join the Winery family and continue the legacy of excellence, welcome, and fun!
