Your Guide: What to drink with Easter Dinner

3/20/2024

Wondering what wines to pair with the upcoming Easter dinner? Here are some ideas!
Picture
Ham: Ham is an Easter winner!! This versatile dish pairs well with white wines that have a touch of sweetness and notes of citrus. Some suggestions:
  • Summer Crush: semi-sweet white with hints of peach and apricot
  • At First Sip: crisp and semi-dry with hints grapefruit

Roast Chicken: As the saying goes, chicken goes with anything! We recommend pairing your roaster chicken with:
  • Volga Lake Blush: all-purpose semi-sweet catawba/concord wine
  • Driftless White: semi-dry white wine from the Itasca grape
  • Petite Pearl: semi-sweet rosé

Lamb: To go with lamb's slightly gamey taste, pair with a strong red. We suggest these wines to serve with your lamb cut:
  • Mr. Sippi: dry red from the Marquette grape
  • Outstanding Red Reserve: dry red blend of Petite Pearl, Tempranillo and Petite Syrah grapes

Roast Beef: The wine you serve depends on the specific cut of meat:
  • Rich, fatty cuts of roast beef will need a wine with more tannin, like Outstanding Red Reserve.
  • For leaner cuts, choose an aged wine in which the tannins have softened. We suggest Mr. Sippi.

After dinner, it's time for dessert! Caramel Apple, Serenity (red raspberry chocolate wine), and Autumn Splendor (blackberry chocolate wine) are perfect for after-dinner sipping.
